A Gentle Way to Strengthen and Prepare Your Body for Pregnancy and Birth
Pregnancy is a time in a woman’s life when she wants to feel most connected to her body. With her baby in mind, she wants to feel stronger and more relaxed, both physically and mentally. Yoga is the perfect way to achieve this because it can be incorporated not just into a fitness program, but into your daily life.
Prenatal yoga course will take you through step by step:
- The importance of conscious breathing
- Asana (poses) for strengthening the body and suppleness
- Benefits of visualization
- The all-important pelvic floor
- Vocalization, an open throat for an open cervix
- All with pregnancy and labour in mind
These classes are for all women from the beginning of pregnancy through to birth and are suitable for beginners and for women wishing to adapt their normal routines for pregnancy. You will practice classical yoga and tune into the consciousness of your growing baby.
Yoga is the ideal, safe exercise during pregnancy and is highly recommended by doctors and health professionals as a way of preventing unnecessary weight gain, calming the mind and preparing for childbirth.
Many women are so pleased with the results that they continue to practise after birth continuing the bonding with their child in Mums and Bubs yoga classes.
Our Prenatal Yoga classes are run in a 6-week block, which you must register for to confirm your place. Places limited.
