Not COULD like the Yogis of Instagram, not even COULD like most of the people in the class – but more COULD than I gave myself credit for – and I could do my level of Yoga (and still can, it’s a different level of yoga than it was then – but it is still just MY level of yoga)

It has been a long and continual journey around finding my way to Yoga. I’m actually really glad that I waited until I did. It meant I was in the right place at the right time when I was ready to be brave and now I am just so grateful.

Lainie Jenkins

Co-Founder and Principal Teacher – One Family Yoga & Fitness, Holland Park, Brisbane

Lainie believes that it is important to let go of the identities that we take on in the world (Mother, Yogi, Father, Sister, accountant, etc) while on the mat. It is a time to strengthen the body from the inside out through Ayurveda (science of Life), Asana (Posture), to connect to the breath to open the body through conscious breathing (Pranayama) to calm the mind with Meditation. Lainie teaches to the individual, she guides you gently in and out of each pose regardless of your experience with yoga so that you always feel, comfortable, confident and successful.

Laine Jenkins is a ERYT500 teacher with Yoga Alliance and a certified Level 3 Senior teacher with Yoga Australia, she has been a devoted yoga practitioner for 22 years and teaching yoga for 20 years. Lainie’s teacher training study initiated with level 1 ISHTA System, with Rachel Zinman. The ISHTA System Integrates the Sciences of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda for an integral practice. In Lainie’s classes and trainings, students of all shapes and sizes find tips, tricks, and modifications to make yoga asana work for their unique body, instead of being squished into poses for the sake of form over function. She emphasises safe alignment and mindful transitions, and guides each student to honour the body they bring to the mat today, while being empowered to learn about the body’s intelligence and power to serve you on and off the mat in everyday life.

Lainie’s interest in movement began as a dancer and she was later certified as an International Les Mills Trainer and Presenter and Pilates Instructor. After 20 years in this world, these interests led her towards yoga.

Lainie has further qualifications in Ayurveda, Restorative Yoga, Yin YogaYoga Nidra, Kids Yoga, Teens Yoga, Pre and Post-natal Yoga.

Terms & Conditions of Accreditation

  • All assessment tasks throughout the course must be completed and payment plans paid in full to graduate from your course with a Certificate.•
  • A daily self-practice and journal
  • Advance notice of absence must be given where possible. Students may miss 2 days in total of the course but will be expected to complete assignments as required.
  • Students must complete 40hrs (200hr), 75hrs (350hr) of Class attendance and or Class observation, these must be completed to graduate from your course. You have 12 months from the course start date to complete your class hours. You may start using your class hours as soon as you have made a payment for your chosen course (even if this is before the start date of the course).
  • Co-teach 4 classes with Lainie Jenkins
  • All assessment tasks throughout the course must be completed to graduate from your course.

Cancellation Policy

Please choose your course carefully, as we do not offer refunds. However, if needed, you may transfer your enrolment to another course date or to another person.

The course teaching methodology is a mix of mandatory pre-recorded and optional live Q+As (via zoom). Immediately upon sign up you will gain access to our online learning portal so you can begin working through the course video modules and manuals at the pace that suits you. You also gain access to our optional Zoom class schedule. You can choose to participate in these live online; or you can watch the recordings of these sessions later. If you do not finish the course in your month, you will also be given full access to all future Zoom Q+As sessions – right up until the day you graduate!

No, you can start your yoga training from the minute you sign up! We will give you immediate access to all the comprehensive video modules, classes, handouts and specialised teaching Yoga Manuals which give you all you need to begin your yoga teaching journey.

Yes, vinyasa yoga joins traditional hatha yoga postures (Adho Mukha Shvanasana/ Downward Facing Dog, Virabhadrasana/ Warrior etc) together in a series of flowing sequences. Aspiring teachers learn how to correctly instruct each individual posture and then move on to sequencing these in a series of flowing yoga sequences, which can be modified to suit all students and combined to create full vinyasa yoga classes.

At AyurFlow we believe yoga is for everybody and all bodies! You do not need to have the perfect, injury free body to be a yoga teacher, or to join us on the online course. You can participate in the yoga training – and go on to teach yoga – utilising modifications or alternate postures. Our yoga school has a strong focus on ensuring we are teaching safe and effective yoga classes for all yogis and providing options to support this. When you sign up for the course we will ask you to let us know of any injuries so we can share these with your trained and knowledgeable mentors and ensure that you are kept safe and looked after in any live zoom yoga sessions or other physical practice.

Absolutely! You can complete the training in one month, or study in a timeframe that suits you. We have had so many full-time workers, parents and students join us for this reason. If you do not complete the online training in your intake month, you are given access to Zoom sessions right up until you graduate – however long that takes you! If you have a specific question you can also request a live Zoom calls with a course teacher.

This is entirely up to you! There is no set time of how long you need to take or how many hours a week to study. Self-pacing means you can either complete the course intensively over four weeks, or if you prefer you can study part-time choosing how many hours a week you would like to study to suit YOUR needs. We also encourage you to incorporate your learning holistically into your daily life, so you can gain the benefits of a yogic lifestyle and experience personal healing and transformation through a deeper understanding of the traditional philosophy teachings.

There are several simple assignments to complete throughout the course as you learn different aspects of yoga, such as meditation and self-practice. Then at the end of the course there is one final assessment, which can easily be filmed on your phone. This is nothing to be concerned about – we provide you with all the guidance and feedback you need to complete this with ease when the time comes. Our students find completing this exercise very fun and empowering, giving them the confidence to begin teach yoga straight away!

Join from anywhere in the world and have easy access to pre recorded lectures, videos and readings. Can’t join live sessions due to your situation? Not a problem – all lives are recorded and uploaded for you to learn from in your time.

No, this course is designed so you can complete your studies and graduate as a Certified RYT-200 Yoga Teacher online completely from home. You do not need to complete any classes in a studio – our course is 100% online. We have worked hard to create our in person training and sessions fully online via Thinkific and Zoom; meaning you do not have to complete any additional in-person aspects to learn how to teach and graduate as an RYT-200 Yoga instructor! There are no mandatory ‘in person’ elements on top of your study, as we recognise this can be challenging during this time.

You will be ready to teach straight away once you graduate, having gained the skills, practice teaching, wisdom and confidence to become a certified yoga teacher and to sequence and lead meditation and yoga classes with ease! We began our Certified online course during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and we now have Santosha Certified Online YTT graduates teaching all over the world, with the yoga teaching and yoga business skills they have learned with us on the online course.

Yes! We have so many students who have not studied for a long time or are not familiar with internet technology, so we have lots of back-up support for our easy-to-use systems and learning portals. All our students have a dedicated student support assistant, whose role is to assist you with whatever arises during your time with us. Our unique online workshops and lectures are designed for learning to be grasped by all levels, with varied learning techniques and teaching methods.

At AyurFlow, we believe that yoga is for everybody – and ALL bodies – and that your yoga practice should meet you where you are at. It is NOT a problem at all if there are certain postures which are not accessible to you personally. No, we do not require you to pass a written test. There is a short yoga teaching assessment where you are able to put the yoga knowledge you have gained during the course to use to teach yoga to a friend or family member. This can be easily recorded on your phone and is very simple to complete. Students usually find this very empowering and we give you plenty of time, information and guidance to prepare you for this simple exercise. This exercise gives you a strong foundation from which to start teaching yoga and become a certified yoga teacher – if this is your goal.
